Hi-Hat Pads
Hi-hat pads determine how naturally the electronic kit reacts to open, half-open and closed hi-hat playing. The pad itself matters, but so does the controller or stand used with it. Compatibility with the module decides whether transitions between positions are smooth and useful in real playing.
Pad, controller and module must work together
Basic solutions use a separate pedal controller, while more advanced models mount on a standard hi-hat stand and feel more natural. Before replacing a pad, check the supported models in the module manual. For home practice, also watch the mechanical noise of the pedal and the stability of the stand.
