I bought this DAC for my feather, but have tried it. It does not compare to the texture and detail of audioquest red, but for electronic music, it is very fast and you can feel much more the activity in the music, compared to audioquest. The beats are well cut off. The rhymes in the lyrics are matching each other and come to the front, as should be, and are not mundane and unnoticed. To repeat, the overall voice texture is not as nice. Yet for dynamic voices that play with timing it is nice to hear them through this DAC. Comparing to the price point of audioquest, it is very advisable to try this DAC (or higher up the line of Creative) to get a feeling of dynamic possibilities, in the search of better DAC-s. This DAC is gateway for timing.

Pro: - Excellent clear sound. - Amp (up to 300 Ohm) + Dac. - Profiles for Games and music (CS: GO, Dota 2, FPS, Simulator, Music etc ...). -Compact and Plug & Play (once set, configuration remains). - Comes with TRRS X1 jack adapter to 2X TRS (headphones and microphone). -A software well developed and without crashes or consumption of Cpu, Gpu (uses only 70 Mb of RAM, unsinkable on any configuration or even "Pentium for a century"). Versus: I do not have. Other: You must first download it from the manufacturer's X-Plus Configurator site and set it to generic, then BlasterX Acoustic Engine Pro to take advantage of this Mini Beast's ability.
