The Bose Sub1 powered bass module delivers low-end performance down to 32 Hz from a slim enclosure built around a 7 × 13-inch RaceTrack driver. Designed as the compact companion to the Bose L1 Pro32 line array, it pairs with virtually any portable PA via SubMatch single-cable connectivity or XLR/TRS combo input. This model is the right choice for mobile performers who need full-range bass without hauling a traditional 18-inch cabinet. A Class D amplifier delivers 480 W peak power and 124.6 dB maximum SPL from a 15.5 kg cabinet.

RaceTrack Driver and Cardioid Mode

The defining feature is the high-excursion RaceTrack driver — an elongated 7 × 13-inch cone that matches round-driver output in a slim 260 mm enclosure. Stacking two Sub1 units unlocks Cardioid Mode, which uses phase inversion to push bass forward and reject rear-firing energy by 10 dB. Integrated DSP provides input EQ, output EQ, and polarity inversion via the rear panel or the Bose Music app over USB-C.

Driver and Acoustic Performance

The RaceTrack geometry lets the Sub1 deliver deep bass from a cabinet roughly half the width of a typical 15-inch subwoofer, with a 200 Hz internal crossover handing off cleanly to paired top boxes.
