Young Dolph, born Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., was an American rapper and record executive from Memphis. Rising to prominence through his feature on O.T. Genasis’ hit single "Cut It" in 2015, he went on to release several successful projects, including his debut album King of Memphis and the critically acclaimed Rich Slave, which reached number four on the Billboard 200. He was the founder of the independent label Paper Route Empire, supporting artists such as Key Glock. Young Dolph’s impactful career was cut short when he was fatally shot in Memphis in 2021.
