Fretless electric bass guitar from Artisan series that offers uncompromising quality for the discriminating musician with high value and performance. Featuring bolt-on construction for a warm open sound with great sonic dispersion, it is the modern bass with classic features and sound. It features a swamp ash double-cutaway body: a livelier and more resonant wood than poplar, swamp ash is characterized by a scooped-mids sound with a bigger low-end and clear highs for a more balanced tone. The open-pore finish enhances the resonance even further and the wood’s natural light weight and good-looking grain patterns are other positives of swamp ash. An ideal match for the instrument’s Markbass 3-Band EQ system that provides a very natural and transparent boost that does not colour the organic nature or resonance of the instrument’s woods. The crystal clarity and natural warmth combined exude a passive feel with smooth lows, full-bodied mids, and bell-like highs. The bass guitar is also equipped with Bartolini MK-1 pickups that preserve the trademark Bartolini sound while providing superb sound quality and value. They deliver plenty of punchy and warm mids along with transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound. Other premium features include the five-piece wenge/rosewood neck with matching headstock that provides a tasteful and classy visual aesthetic for an ungraded high-end look and feel. The emphasis of the wenge and rosewood combination is on tight and defined midrange that complements the bright and expansive tonal nature of the swamp ash body for an ideally balanced sound to round out the bass spectrum. The neck is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard with abalone inlays. Scale length is 864 mm. The bass guitar further features the Hipshot Ultralight Tuners as standard equipment for tuning accuracy and stability. It also features an EB12(4) bridge and black hardware. Open Pore Natural finish.
