Pickguards

A pickguard protects the surface of a guitar where the pick or your hand makes contact while playing. It can also change the appearance of the instrument, but compatibility with the specific model is what matters most. Before choosing one, compare the outline, number and position of the screws, plus the cut-outs for the pickups, bridge and controls.

How to verify the correct shape

• Do not rely on the guitar type alone; compare the dimensions or a template with the original part.
• Check the pickup configuration and the position of the switch and potentiometers.
• Remove the protective film only after test-fitting the part.

If the mounting holes do not match, do not drill into the instrument without accurate marking or help from a guitar technician.
